Accessibility statement
Live Oak Web is built so every visitor can use it, on every device, with any assistive technology. This page explains how we test for that and what to do if something doesn't work for you. Effective August 4, 2026.
Our standard
Every page we build — this site and every client site — is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA before it goes live. We run automated tests with axe and Lighthouse, then test by hand with a screen reader and a keyboard alone, no mouse. Our target is a Lighthouse accessibility score of 95 or higher; most pages hit 100.
It's part of the service, not an add-on
Accessibility-checked pages come included in every plan, not sold as an extra. If a client site can't be used with a screen reader or without a mouse, we treat that the same way we'd treat a broken link — a defect to fix, not a feature to upsell.
Where automated testing falls short
Automated tools like axe and Lighthouse catch a lot, but not everything — some accessibility problems only show up when a real person navigates a real page. That's why we test by hand too, though we know we won't catch every issue before every page ships.
